A New Year’s resolution serves no real point. Usually, instead of achieving your goal, you just end up making yourself feel bad when you don't achieve it. The vast majority of New Year’s resolutions are failures. If you really want a better life in 2010, avoid the negativity that comes with a resolution, and instead, concentrate on just making some tiny adjustments to your lifestyle where you can. The results can in the end, be much greater.
Most resolutions have to do with our health. We all want to be healthier, skinnier, exercise more, etc. Etc. Instead of phrasing those desires like an ultimatum, like a resolution, simply start implementing some changes. You don't need a resolution to visit the gym every week to get fit. Instead, start taking the stairs at work instead of the elevator. You could also find a sport that you enjoy playing, or set small, achievable goals about walking more. These are the types of goals that you can meet, and which can really have a positive effect on your health over the course of 2010.
Remember to find the multiple benefits in any given change you make to your life. The more benefits that you can see, the easier it’s going to be to stick with the changes. A good example of this is the money that you can save, allowing you to do more things that you enjoy, as most of our bad habits cost us money. For every time you walk instead of drive, don't grab fast food, or for every less beer you buy, you've saved money that you can put towards something like a family vacation. Good incentive for cutting back!

Many know and others wonder what the consequences could be in the event of corporate disaster. Criminal prosecution, law suits filed by stockholders and possible job loss are all very scary to think about; however, there are steps that can be taken to minimize your risk of personal liability.
Who might befall such a terrible fate?
The MIS manager or vice president of MIS is always a likely candidate in the event that a corporation goes bankrupt. Why? Well, if this individual could have taken other actions and avoided the loss, but did not, this individual could be seen as the party responsible for the corporation’s fall.
If the individual breaches their duty of trust to the shareholders, they might be held liable. Thus, the “Prudent Man Rule” came about. This rule requires any agents, officers, or directors to perform their duties with the same diligence that any prudent man would. Therefore, if the loss could be significant, and the possibility of potential loss is high, the individual should obviously take steps to prevent against loss.
One of the ways to protect against loss is to keep accurate, constantly maintained records so that the business can be properly protected and controlled. It should be obvious that the security of that data is imperative.
The penalties of violating this act include fines and imprisonment of up to five years. This should certainly make one more aware of their actions while performing their corporate duties.

Prehistoric exhibits always seem to be one of the best things for a museum to feature, as they are usually fascinating to children and adults alike. The new exhibit Tusks!, running from January 24th – May 2nd 2010 at the Pennsylvania State Museum.
Tusks! is an exhibit all about the family of mammoths and mastodons that used to live during the Ice Age. One of the reasons that this exhibit is so special is because of the Marshalls Creek Mastodon. This is one of the best Mastodon fossils that we have, and it was found in Marshalls Creek (Monroe County) Pennsylvania. It really gives this exhibit a real home state connection.
There are a few reasons that this exhibit is special. First of all, this mastodon is considered one of most important finds of its kind on the continent. Because of that importance however, the skeleton has always previously been separated. Half of it was displayed in the Hall of Geology, and the other half was in collections at the State Museum.
Tusks! represents the first time the entire skeleton will be brought together to be put on display, and it will be done by recreating the entire skeleton and hanging it on a wire frame to give life like dimension to the artifacts. The skeleton itself is over 90% complete, and any of the missing pieces have been faithfully recreated to create a complete exhibit for people to admire. Be sure to take your chance to view this majestic specimen in its entirety while you are able.
