Did You Know?

The number one reason that people get sick all the time is that they accept that being sick is a normal, if not even necessary way of life. We are constantly inundated by the message that we should be sick. Advertising for remedies we don't need, preventative measures, and the confirmation by our friends and coworkers about this week's novelty bug that is going around make our bodies constantly in a state of expectation for the next illness.

By affirming and focusing on the fact that your body is meant to be healthy, vibrant, and energetic, you help to preserve your body in that state much more often. At the first sign of sickness, simply take some vitamin C, drink some orange juice or chicken soup, and be sure that you are aware of the fact that you are SUPPOSED to be healthy, not ill, and the power of your own body and of your free will can help keep you healthy.

By living a positive lifestyle you can help prevent the toxins which cause illness from accumulating within your body. By eating healthy and natural diet, by getting lots of exercise, and by finding creative outlets which help to release your stress you can help ensure that your body never gets worn down to the point where it may be vulnerable to sickness.

Remember though, if you do feel seriously ill, do seek the attention of a doctor. This mindset is about preventing illness, not curing existing conditions.

If you are right handed, you will tend to chew your food on your right side. If you are left handed, you will tend to chew your food on your left side.

Laughing lowers levels of stress hormones and strengthens the immune system. Six-year-olds laugh an average of 300 times a day. Adults only laugh 15 to 100 times a day.

Priority Express is now happy to offer same day and next day delivery service on both packages and pallets, a service well beyond what most of the competition finds themselves able to offer. This is not only a long stretch from the days when a courier had to gallop across the country on horseback to move a package, but is even an advancement in terms of much more recent courier models.

Demands in the various industries which support the courier business have shaped the need for speed within the industry. By finding more productive ways to utilize independent contractors, high quality courier companies are now able to achieve delivery speeds that were thought to be unreachable. This has created an entire industry of same day couriers which is a multi-billion dollar industry within the United States alone. By using a sophisticated and interconnected network of independent contractors, a courier company is able to complete same day deliveries throughout the country. Even when drivers aren't working they are on standby or “Ready to Move” opening up more potential routes to ensure that the deliveries arrive on time.

Through this network of drivers, it becomes possible for a company like Priority Express to offer what we do. This is how we are able to provide next and same day service on both package and pallet delivery requests. That way, the same speed is available to those sending small packages and those shipping large cargo; making your business flow smoother than ever.

Priority Express is committed to providing solutions to all of your transportation and storage requirements. To learn more about Priority Express, please call (800) 526-4646 or email us at info@priorityexpress.com.

Many cities in the country are starting to gain more and more steam with their green initiatives, finding ways to reduce the environmental footprint of their cities in aggressive and even revolutionary ways. However, no other city has set such clear goals as Philadelphia, which is committed totally to becoming the greenest city in the country by 2015.

The city prides itself on setting firm and achievable goals, many of which already have funds in place, for achieving its green initiative by 2015. Spokespeople for the city have clearly said that they will not fall victim to the political long view by setting goals for 2025 or 2050 which may or may not be achieved by the time those years roll around. Instead, they have set benchmarks that will allow them to become the greenest city in the country within the next six years.

Every goal the city has set would be admirable, but when they are looked at together the true size and vision of this green plan becomes evident. The goals include lowering the energy consumption by the government by 30%, as well as a 10% decrease in energy usage across the entire city. Other goals include creating more energy efficient homes through retrofitting and renovations, reducing the amount of waste going into landfills, increasing green space and doubling the number of green jobs available within the city. Sustainable living is becoming the new governmental way of thinking within the city, making the city a green role model the rest of the country may soon follow.
